InsideOut clients never wonder if they've selected the correct groundcover for a shaded area, the perfect shrub for a foundation planting, or the most desirable tree to provide year round backyard privacy. Landscape designer Marcia Wood mixes horticulture with creativity to deliver clients the gardens of their dreams. In addition to owning A Grade Above Landscaping Service for 12 years she taught college courses on Landscape Design and Basic Landscaping. She is also a Certified Master Gardener.
Inspired by her grandfather and father, both engineers who had a love and respect for horticulture, Wood learned the difference between a plant's common and botanical name at a young age. These inherited traits along with a lifelong passion for learning inspire her to create landscapes that are beautiful, functional, and compatible with the natural environment.
Marcia designed our landscape for a continual display of color throughout the seasons. She took the time to research the plants I love and mix them with subtle nuances of texture, fragrance and color that is on display year-round.
